Giovanni van Bronckhorst
Giovanni Christiaan van Bronckhorst (born 5 February 1975 in Rotterdam), known as Gio in Spain, is a retired Dutch footballer and former captain of the Dutch national team. He plays as a Left Back.
He is an important part in the Dutch national team. He led the Dutch defenders, and scored important goals in international matches like on 2007 on Slovenia (scored the only goal winning 1-0) and scored a powerful long-ranged shot against Uruguay on the 2010 World Cup Semifinals, which is considered as the best goals in the World Cup history.
